This area covers all aspects of the Space Shuttle and features a scale model of the "full stack" Shuttle in launch configuration. A dramatic full-size Shuttle nose section houses a cockpit demonstration area where information on the Shuttle’s control and operations systems are presented. Visitors can strap themselves into a Manned Maneuvering Unit simulator and attempt to rendezvous with a satellite. In addition, this exhibit area will introduce daily activities aboard the Space Shuttle through videodisc programmes and other international space shuttle programmes.
