Criteria for Assessing Acquisition of Collection

  1. The objects should be related to astronomy or space science;

  2. The importance of the objects in terms of scientific significance and the impact on human life, whether they can be regarded as developmental milestones in science, or as exemplary organisms or specimens in nature, and rarity;

  3. The authenticity, physical condition and durability of the objects;

  4. The attractiveness when the objects are displayed;

  5. The price of the objects.


Criteria for Assessing Extension Activities

  1. The scientific merits and educational value of the programme;

  2. The public appeal of the programme, whether it can arouse public interest in astronomy and space science;

  3. The presentation and communication skills of the speaker(s) of the programme;

  4. Whether the budget is reasonable.

  1. The scientific merits and educational value of the film;

  2. The public appeal of the topic covered by the film;

  3. Whether the topic is presented in an interesting way, without sacrificing depth for accessibility;

  4. Whether the budget is reasonable.
