Building a Geodesic Dome

Instructions:
1. Use the struts provided to build a geodesic dome. Can you tell how many different lengths of struts are required.

Do you know?
The edges of a regular polyhedron are always equal. To improve the roundness of the polyhedron, we can divide the edges into shorter lengths and raise the points of division to a geodesic on the surface of a sphere. To generate a geodesic dome using the so-called 2V-division, edges are split to two and struts of two different lengths are required. Increasing the amount of subdivision raises even more points to the sphere and produces even better approximations.
