Mirror Ensemble

Question:
Which object can act as glass and mirror at the same time?

Instructions:
1. Put each object in front of you. Which one has the highest reflectivity?
2. Put each object in front of the lamp. Which one is the most transparent?

Why?
The reflectivity of an object depends very much upon the nature and smoothness of its surface. The surface of glass is very smooth, and a coating of aluminium renders it an ideal material for making mirrors. In reality, objects sufficiently smooth behave like mirrors to a certain degree. While glass is well known for its transparency, other objects, in particular the thin ones, can also let light pass through provided the energy of the light source is intense enough. Amazing stunning visual effects may be achieved by applying this principle properly.
