The exhibition showcases a range of articles used or collected by Dr. Lee during her polar expeditions over the past 20 years. These include an observation balloon, samples of Antarctic fossils, a sample of deep-sea mud core obtained in the Arctic Ocean, a variety of animal and plant specimens, a Chinese national flag once flew in Antarctica, equipment and tools used by polar scientific researchers as well as a full scale dog-driven wooden sledge model, etc.
Documentary: Investigating the Arctic Ocean
In addition to the large number of precious photos taken on site by Dr. Lee, the video clip filmed during the "Third Chinese Arctic Research Expedition" in which she participated in 2008 is also on display. The expedition team comprises 121 members including 12 scientists from the United States, France, Finland, Japan, South Korea and Russia. They worked together to undertake a comprehensive, multidisciplinary study of the Arctic Ocean. During the expedition, Dr. Lee captured with her video camera evidence about the fateful melting of Arctic ice in summer, the homeless polar bears, and the involuntary migration of the Inuits due to ice melting.

Through interesting games and images in the Children's Area, kids can learn about the Poles and their close relationship with climate change.
