Travelling Exhibition

To extend the Museum's education services to schools, the Hong Kong Science Museum produces various types of educational kits on loan to schools for free. Teachers can utilize these resources to supplement their teaching in order to enrich students' knowledge.

In addition to the existing two travelling exhibitions, we will launch a new exhibition, Brain and Cognition in September this year. The human brain is a highly complex organ comprising hundred billions of neurons. It is the core of our nervous system that regulates and integrates a wide range of functions, and serves as the centre of all our physiological and psychological developments and their coordination. By means of simple language, this exhibition will introduce some interesting aspects about the structure and functions of human brain, and depict some disorders caused by impairment of neural transmission.

Together with the forthcoming new exhibition, there would be three exhibitions available on loan to schools. They are produced in the format of graphic panels. Topics include:

  1. Brain and Cognition(suitable for S4 – 6 Biology curriculum compulsory part: Organisms and Environment, Integrated Science curriculum compulsory part: Balance within Our Body and Combined Science curriculum biology part: Organisms and Environment)

Exhibits the structure and functions of human brain and reveals the linkage between neutral transmission and brain problems.
