School Programme
"To Dig & to Learn" Workshop

What is archaeology? How old are the finds excavated in Hong Kong? The Workshop comprises a briefing, mock-up excavation / field surveying work and sharing session. Participants will get to know local archaeological work and major discoveries, the process of excavation as well as how to differentiate finds. Last but not least, the Workshop will end with a sharing session on the findings of excavation.

Date: September 2015 to August 2016
Time: 10:30am – 12nn
Venue : Activity Room, Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, Kowloon Park, Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon
Quota: Maximum 20 persons per session
Target: Primary 4 to Secondary 3 students
(Senior secondary students are also welcome)
Tutor: Local archaeologist / Assistant Curators from the Antiquities and Monuments Office
Language : Cantonese / English
Fee : Free
