Hong Kong Heritage Awards

The Hong Kong Heritage Awards (2001) is jointly organized by the Antiquities Advisory Board and the Antiquities and Monuments Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. It is the first heritage-related award ever launched in Hong Kong. Earlier this year, the adjudication panel had chosen the winners of the Awards.

The adjudication panel was made up of both overseas and local scholars and professionals, including Professor David LUNG Ping-yee, SBS, JP, Chairman of the Antiquities Advisory Board; Mr. Edward HO Sing-tin, SBS, JP, Chairman of the Council of the Lord Wilson Heritage Trust; Ms. LAM Joy-shan, Member of the Culture and Heritage Commission and Dr. Richard ENGELHARDT, Regional Advisor for Culture in Asia and the Pacific, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The selection criteria were based on a project's insight, in-depth analysis, as well as its influence and contribution to the community.
