Public Programme at Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre
“Drawing Basics for Artefacts” Workshop

Drawing artefacts is an important element in archaeological work. The proportions of the artefacts can be recreated, and their dimensions, profiles, patterns and structures can be explained through drawings. They can also compliment with related text and photos for cross referencing. In this workshop, the tutor will introduce the fundamentals of archaeology, important local excavations and the basics of drawing artefacts. Through drawing artefacts at the workshop, participants can also learn about its importance in archaeological work.

Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon
Venue: Activity Room, Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, Kowloon Park, Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon
Quota: 25 persons
Target: Aged 18 or above

Deadline: 12 April 2013 (Fri) 5 p.m.

Details of Open Lot Drawing :
In case of over application, participants will be selected by lot drawing, which will be held on 15 April 2013 (Mon) 12:30 p.m. at Activity Room, HKHDC. If open lot drawing is required, the result will be announced on the website of Antiquities and Monuments Office.
