Stone House
On Hatton Road, about 400m from its start at Kotewall Road |
 |
Stone House was built around 1923. The entire upper portion of Kotewall Road consisted of coach houses that were inhabited by families working for wealthy families that had mansions on Conduit, Kotewall and Po Shan Roads. Among all coach houses that existed on Kotewall Road, Stone House is the last surviving example. It is one of the early examples of steel-reinforced concrete construction. The external wall of the house is a combination of brick and large granite stone. It is now a private residence.
