Family Programmes at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre
"Searching for Monuments" Workshop

Hong Kong has many historical monuments which need proper preservation. At present, there are a total of 84 declared monuments in Hong Kong, including Chinese and Western style buildings, rock carving and archaeological sites etc., which are distributed in different districts of the Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories. This programme will begin with a lecture which gives participants a brief introduction on the characteristics and history of the declared monuments in Hong Kong. Participants will then be formed into groups and play a game entitled "Searching for Monuments" which will enable them to have a better understanding on the local heritage. Details are as follow:
