Branch Museums Law Uk Folk Museum Free Admission Introduction Law Uk Folk Museum is only a 5 minutes' walk from the Chai Wan MTR Station. The house museum, Law Uk ("Law's House"), is named after its original owner, a Hakka family whose Chinese surname is transliterated as "Law". Today, this 18th-century Hakka village house - the only example of its kind in Chai Wan - is a declared historical building. To give viewers a realistic experience of how the interior would have looked like and how the inhabitants would have lived, the house is furnished with village furniture, utensils and farming tools selected from the Museum's ethnographic collection. Besides, there are reader rails with texts and photos in the open ground in front of the house featuring the history of Chai Wan, the history and architecture of Law Uk, and the Hakka customs.
