The Museum complex occupies an area of 17,500m², with 8,000m² for staging exhibitions. It comprises 8 Permanent Exhibition Galleries of about 7,000m² and a Special Exhibition Gallery of 1,000m² for presenting changing exhibitions. Apart from the exhibition galleries, there are Lecture Hall and two Activity Rooms for various kinds of educational and extension activities. There are also the Museum Shop and the Museum Café on 1/F and Resource Centre on 2/F.
