The archaeological finds conservators are responsible for the preservation and restoration of the archaeological finds excavated from Hong Kong territory. Apart from implementing conservation programmes for the archaeological collections, conservators are required to provide first-aid treatment for the excavated items at archaeological sites, as well as to take care of the well-being of the Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb, rock engravings, and the cultural relics at various declared monuments.
