Conservation Intern

To provide opportunities to young graduates to gain experience in the conservation field, the Conservation Office has recently received Miss Irene Dominguez Jimenez as one of our conservation interns. Irene graduated from the University of Northumbria in UK, with a MA in Conservation of Fine Art in 2012. She is now getting involved in our conservation and research projects on oil paintings during her internship with our painting conservators from April to August, 2013.

Miss Anna van der Zalm joins us in August 2013 for a 4-week internship. Anna is an undergraduate student reading Chemistry at the University of Oxford, U.K., and has a keen interest in paintings and murals. Anna spends this summer recess at the Office to explore the role of an art conservator, a unique profession where art meets science. Anna is involved in a painting frame restoration project amongst others.
