Lei Yue Mun Pass Battery

This battery was built to defend the harbour from small, high speed torpedo carrying destroyers and was completed in March 1892. The guns mounted were 6 pounder quick firing (QF) Hotchkiss guns which would have fired 6 pound (2.7 kg) projectiles at a rate of 20 rounds per minute to an effective range of 4,100 metres.
