West Caponier
-West Caponier and the ditch

West Caponier

It is a concealed defensive structure constructed along the ditch to provide flanking fire through the openings in its walls. It was an important defensive position during the Japanese attack on this part of Hong Kong Island. Bullet and shrapnel damage to the structure can still be seen.
