Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware (1/F)
The Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware is dedicated to promoting tea drinking and ceramic art in Hong Kong. Since 1986, the Museum has staged nine tea ware competitions and exhibitions to provide a platform of exchange and emulation for local potters. In this year, the exhibition "2013 Tea Ware by Hong Kong Potters" features 105 items of selected ceramic tea ware made by 87 local potters.
Chosen from entries in the tea ware competition held in April 2013, the exhibits selected from the Open category presents diverse themes, including nature, imaginative creation of abstract forms and pieces inspired by everyday experience. Works by students show the unlimited creativity and vitality of young people also highlight the sterling efforts of their ceramic instructors.
