The Artwork Installation of the Public Art Scheme

Prev Next

In order to bring art into our communities, we have through open competition, launched the Public Art Scheme and commissioned a public artwork at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. In December 2009, the commissioned artwork "Overlap" by Lee Shu-fan, Mok Yuk-kwan, Faye and Yiu Fung, Leo had been installed and opened for public visit.

"Overlap" is a group of columns in multiple heights, representing our commonalities and individuality simultaneously. The reflective surfaces of the sculpture allows fragments of people's reflection to overlap with others at random times, signifying the intersecting of our lives in a dense environment such as Hong Kong.
