Following the success of 'Mobile Art Gallery', 'Gallery Ferry' and 'Mobile Art Expedition', APO of LCSD with HKADC, Citybus and NWFB jointly present the 'Mobile Art Gallery 2008' to extend visual arts dimension to the everyday life of the people in Hong Kong by making use of the bus bodies and bus shelters as showrooms to display artworks.

Under the theme "Sporty Hong Kong", 'Mobile Art Gallery 2008' has called for entry submission in October 2007. The open competition provides an opportunity for artists to demonstrate their artistic creativity. From 156 entries, 21 artworks with merit have been selected by the Adjudication Panel. The selected entries are reproduced for display on bus bodies and at the light box panels of bus shelters for six months (from 14.6 to 13.12.2008). These 'Mobile Art Gallery' buses and bus shelters are now providing regular bus services to the general public. Details of the bus routes and bus shelter locations are listed as follows:

Bus Shelters*: Wan Chai, Happy Valley, Pok Fu Lam, Shau Kei Wan, Tseung Kwan O
