Art in Hospital

This is a large-scale art event jointly presented by the Art in Hospital and the Art Promotion Office. The aim of this project is to use art as a tool for the betterment of the community and arouse public awareness of the importance of caring for the others.

"Big•Happy•Heart" will encourage people from different communities to create art through a series of workshops. The workshops conducted by local artists and volunteers will be held in various local hospitals, long-stay homes and healthcare centres throughout May to October 2006. It is expected that more than a thousand of artworks will be created and people of different communities will be encouraged and inspired in the process of art making, and realised the magic of relief and be able to convey feelings through their creations. These artworks will be displayed through touring exhibitions in various Hospital Gallery and Sheung Wan Civic Centre.
