"Tung Chung Artwalk" Tour Map

Art Promotion Office of the Leisure & Cultural Services Department and the Housing Department jointly organized a public art installation project at Yat Tung Estate, Tung Chung. The project was scheduled to comply with the estate construction progess. The first stage of the project was launched in 2000. Artists were invited to design 16 site-specific art pieces for display in the outdoor areas. The second stage of the project in 2003 set out to select creative 10 artworks through open competition. 10 more artworks were installed along the covered walkway, at the resting-out corners, between staircases or amid planter. The 26 pieces in total lined up to form a considerable path of aesthetic beauty for walking leisure, giving Yat Tung a very special look among the other public housing estates.

While stock lasts, a tour map on the art walk is free for collection from the Art Promotion Office. It could be viewed also on the Housing Authority webpage
