One of the working aspects of the Art Promotion Office is to develop public art with the joint efforts of various departments, organizations and artists. We have published a 'Public Art Walking Tour Map' to share with you two of our major public art projects and a total of 23 completed art pieces.

'Public Art Scheme 1999' commissioned to install 7 site-specific artworks at three LCSD venues, namely, Kwai Tsing Theatre, Tsing Yi Municipal Services Building and Tai Po Central Town Square, while the 'Public Art Project－Installation of Public Artworks at Yat Tung Estate, Tung Chung', jointly presented by the LCSD and the Housing Department embellished the public estate with 16 artworks in the first stage of the project. The Tour Map not only introduces the background of the two projects, but also the design concept and map location of individual artwork. It serves as a handy reference for appreciating the artworks at your own pace.
