Public art activities aim at enriching the living environment and enhancing art appreciation in the neighbourhood through installation of works of art in public places. The public artworks, created under specific commissioning projects, are specially designed for a particular space and environment - reflecting the characteristics of the locality and meeting the aspirations of the people there. Not only will they help to embellish the environment, but more importantly, enhance the quality of life of the local communities through proactive interaction between people and the works of art, and, the artists. They also inculcate veneration amongst visitors in the artistic and cultural aspirations and pursuits of the local communities.
