Parks are designed for both rest and recreation. To embellish and enliven these large spaces, we rolled out the "Park Déco" scheme at Quarry Bay Park on 12 May 2011, which aims to enhance visitor's experience with artistic furniture and a new signage system. Three sets of art furniture, namely, Assembled Topology by Douglas Ho, Musical Chair by Daniel Hui and Branches by Cyrus Chung and a set of signage by Kenji Chow and Chun Young installed at the Quarry Bay Park.

It features a holistic design– oriented approach with a view to establish a set of design principles for application to other public parks in Hong Kong in the future. Thanks to the Hong Kong Design Centre, the Architectural Services Department and participating designers Denise Chan, Christopher Lau, Joshua Lau, Brian Lee and William Lim who collaborated with the LCSD on this project, as well as Billy Tam as the Appointed Curator.
