The "2014 Hong Kong and Macao Visual Arts Biennial" is to be held from September 11 to 19 in the World Art Museum in Beijing. Hong Kong's exhibition showcases 12 groups of photographic works and installations by 14 local artists under the theme of "300 Families".
It is the fourth time to have organised "Hong Kong and Macao Visual Arts Biennial". The theme "300 Families", initiated by Hong Kong International Photo Festival, aims to explore the changing definition and the significance of "family" via family portraits. 12 sets of works of art by 14 art photographers examine 300 families or family-like groups such as the grass roots, middle class, patients, orphans, kung-fu groups, families in business, green advocates, etc., to convey their encouraging stories to the public.
Participating artists (surname in alphabetical order) are anothermountainman (Stanley Wong), Amber Au, Chan Hau-chun, Lorraine Cultfish & Rambo Lai, Roy Lee, Leong Ka-tai, Thomas Lin, Vincent Mak, Bobby Sham, Wei Leng Tay, Ducky Tse Chi-tak, Tse Ming-chong and Vincent Yu.
