| | | Art@Government Buildings 2012-13 | Presented by the Home Affairs Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Organised by the Art Promotion Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department Curatorial Collaborator: Community Art Network Supported by the Government Property Agency and the Home Affairs Department Art@Government Buildings (AGB) has two main aims: to beautify government office buildings by embellishing them with works of art and to improve the quality of life by offering building users and visitors a new artistic experience. Following on from and sustaining the success of project in 2011, AGB 2012-13 has again commissioned artists to explore how we can develop government buildings as places for appreciating art. This year, we have extended the project to six new venues and have invited six artists from diverse disciplines and backgrounds to create their own artistic interpretations for the building assigned to them with a view to enhancing the relationship between the building and the community in which it is located. Free guided tours will be arranged during the exhibition period that will introduce the public to the six talented local artists and the government buildings they are beautifying in the local community.
