It aims to nurture a new generation of young artists by providing an opportunity for students from the fine arts, design and architecture departments of local universities to showcase their artistic talents. It also aims to make art accessible to all sectors of the community, and bring people to the arts. ArtAlive@Park was presented from 21 December 2010 to 28 February 2011. Four tertiary institutes - Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University, Department of Fine Arts of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, School of Design of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Faculty of Architecture of The University of Hong Kong were invited to make the four parks namely Hong Kong Park, Sha Tin Park, Kowloon Park and Tuen Mun Park unique with new creation of image. Led by their institutes' leaders, the budding artists dressed up the parks with their creativity by designing and installing site-specific public art works with the theme of "City•Community•Nature". What's more! Community Art Network, Fringe Club and City Contemporary Dance Company were invited to curate and present various fabulous activities and performances to cheer up the visitors by bringing them into a leisure environment full of art and nature.
