The 12,500-seat Hong Kong Coliseum was opened on 27 April 1983. With the special design of an inverted pyramid, the Coliseum is one of the most eye-catching landmarks in Hong Kong. The imposing design creates maximum column-free space out of the 1,680 m arena, providing audience with an unobstructed view of the arena.
Adjacent to a railway station, the venue is easily accessible by trains and other public transport. Since its opening, the popular Coliseum has played host to thousands of local and international conferences, performances and events. The Coliseum has been successful in meeting the demands of the community for a multi-purpose indoor stadium for big events and has now become the premier indoor venue of the city for international sporting activities, celebration events, spectacular shows and pop concerts.
