Jojo has a difficult home life marked by a volatile father and an absent mother. The ten-year-old is lonely and spends his time listening to his mother’s records. One day, he saves a baby jackdaw fallen from the nest. He adopts the bird and takes care of it, projecting his own sadness onto the creature. Just when life seems to brighten up, his father discovers his secret and vows to get rid of the bird…
