Ha Chun-chau is the quintessential teddy boy in this melodramatic ode to motherhood. Lin (Sheungkwun Kwan-wai) grew up a stepdaughter, her mother having remarried into a rich family. She was despised in the family and teased at school. It’s thus not surprising that she turns rebellious, putting her trust in the wrong person – a teddy boy, who schemes to take Lin to an inn…. Ha throws himself into the role as the youthful embodiment of corrupt modernvalues , providing a marked contrasttothe kind but suffering mother (played with conviction by the always remarkable Pak Yin).
