A Forgotten Wife is Fung Lam's first film. It's the story of a laborer who journeys to Thailand for work, only to abandon his wife to marry the daughter of a rich family and, later, a collaborator with the Japanese Occupation. Based on a popular stage play performed in various Southeast Asian territories, the film was shot on location in Thailand and Shantou, China and features heart-wrenching drama set on exotic locations. Fung plays the rich daughter and puts her natural talents on ample display in her screen debut.
