The worst part of getting married may be the actual act of getting married, as shown in this hilarious farcical comedy by directors Tu Guangqi and Wu Tieyi. To marry the girl of his dreams (Bai Guang), Kin (Huang He) agrees to spend an obscene amount of money for the wedding. But when the big day finally arrives, Kin receives one unpleasant surprise after another, from a visit by a jilted ex to a neighbor committing suicide. Produced just after Zhang Shankun and Tong Yuejuan’s departure from Great Wall Productions, the most memorable moment from the production for Tong is Bai Guang’s kindness for agreeing to star in the film as a favor for the two producers.
