Turning Upside Down

In this farcical comedy, sweepstake-seller Pak Lok-kwan and football star Koo Siu-hok (both played by Cheung Ying) are longlost twin brothers, and different circumstances lead both of them to Hong Kong at the same time. Yee Chau-sui plays Pak’s bumbling buddy Ah Yau, who suggests the simpleminded Pak to pose as Koo, leading to hilarious mix-ups among the twins’ fiancées and friends. The combination of Cheung and Yee is a rare one in Cantonese comedies based on mistaken identity. Yee manages to steal the show from Cheung with his comedic performance as the not-atall-cunning Ah Yau.
