Introduction
International Children's Film Carnival 2009

Welcome to the big family event in summer:
International Children's Film Carnival 2009

The International Children's Film Carnival brings you enjoyable and entertaining films from around the world for you and your family.

This year, ten feature films of different nature are selected. For animal-lovers, the cheeky dialogue and amazing stunts of the cuddly dogs in Mid Road Gang deliver you non-stop laughs; in the action-packed adventure Amazon Jack 3 – Jungo Goes Bananas, the world's rarest creature outwits a group of evil human captors; and Mamma Moo & Crow is a simple story about friendship. For music-lovers, not to be missed are Sing to the Dawn with beautiful songs to hum along and Ricky Rapper with lively beat and funny raps. If you are interested in adventurous stories, you must watch Chocolate Underground which has all the popular elements of Japanese anime; Dayo which brings you to a marvellous journey to rescue grandparents; and No Network which shows how an Icelandic boy rebuilds connections with his family after experiencing a fierce snowstorm. Dream Team, a delightful comedy teaches us how to be a good player through a national tug-of war competition; and Christmas Story, a touching tale of how a poor orphan from snowy Lapland became Santa Claus, are very good films with educational values.

Other than the features, we have selected twenty-three quality animated shorts of different styles and techniques to be shown in World Animated Shorts, which are accompanied by Live Cantonese Introduction. The compilation of features and shorts will surely make your summer holiday unforgettable!
