Introduction
International Children's Film Carnival 2008

Welcome to the International Children’s Film Carnival 2008!

Every year, the International Children’s Film Carnival brings you the most enjoyable and interesting children’s films from around the world. This year, we are proud to present 9 feature films and 18 shorts that will fill your summer holidays with fun and joy.

We have selected 5 animations of different nature for you and your family. From Scandinavia, we have A Tale of Two Mozzies & Desmond and the Swamp Barbarian Trap; the former is a colourful and musical animation whereas the latter is a stop-motion animation filled with suspense and excitement. Lotte from Gadgetville from Estonia is full of innovative inventions. From Japan, we have Piano Forest, which is about the friendship of two music prodigies, while Little Soldier from China is an action-packed animation depicting a little boy trying to become a soldier to fight against the Japanese invasion.

Besides animation, we also have Bonkers, a heartwarming funny tale tinges with a little sadness about an elephant-loving girl; A Unique Schooling, a touching tale about a poor girl in rural China struggling to earn her school fees; Where is Winky’s Horse?, a charming and engaging tale about a young Chinese immigrant in the Netherlands; and Little Heroes, one of the first Israeli children films, depicting three courageous kids embarking on a journey to save two people trapped in danger.

World Animation and Shorts brings you 18 shorts of unique styles. The compilation features funny and moving tales with educational values that will surely make your summer holidays unforgettable!
