2013/14 School Arts Animateur Scheme

Introduction

The School Arts Animateur Scheme is a campus-based series of arts training and opportunities for primary, secondary and special school students that aims to develop their artistic potential and creativity. In the 2013/14 academic year, LCSD is offering 12 projects covering music, dance, musical theatre, drama, puppetry and Cantonese opera. In addition to the training workshop series, which lasts from 7 to 11 months, and finale performances for the workshop participants, students can also participate in dance day camps, technical stage workshops, script reading workshops, appreciation of professional performances and “Students’ Performances for the Community”. In addition, LCSD will also organise introductory performances, music composition and dance appreciation lectures, parent-child workshops, parent-child theatre, as well as Cantonese opera make-up and costume demonstrations at the participating schools. These activities provide opportunities for other students to participate in arts activities. More details here.
