October 2012 – July 2013
The Playwright Intensive Training Course provides systematic advanced training in playwriting for secondary students who already have extensive experience in drama or script writing, and wish to improve their playwriting skills. In the course, participating students will learn advanced playwriting techniques, and create their own 15 to 20-minute drama script. Excellent works will be selected for script reading, rehearsal or public performance by professional artists, giving students the chance to demonstrate their playwriting talent. In addition to the two professional playwriting instructors, artistic director Yatyau will join as a guest speaker to broaden students’ horizons in the performing arts.
Established in 1997, the drama group is committed to producing quality drama performances. It also promotes drama conventions integrated with formal education, and is widely recognised in educational circles.
