commensurate with Hong Kong's development as a world-class
city and events capital has long been the Department's
pledge. Apart from promoting the advancement and
appreciation of performing arts, we have dedicated
our efforts to make the Yuen Long Theatre a cultural
rendezvous in the Northwest region of the New Territories.
Among the 7 civic centres in the
New Territories, Yuen Long Theatre is by far the
newest performing arts venue. We feel highly honoured
to work in such a remarkable architectural design
with state-of-the-art facilities. Throughout the
year, we are glad to see marked changes in the
cultural life of the residents of the Yuen Long
District, mainly through fellow colleagues' efforts
in enriching the contents of venue facilities
and cultural programmes, fostering public's appreciation
of art forms and nurturing local talents.
We will continuously strive
for excellence as we always do to uphold the customer-focused
work attitude to serve the users, as we firmly
believe he serves his community best who serves
our people best.
