Julien, a middle-aged playboy, receives a charming robot with a feminine appearance named Chloé as a birthday gift from his friend François. Finding Chloé an ideal woman after she is programmed with memories and sentiments, Julien falls in love with her. Everything is on the right track until she brings up the idea of giving birth to a baby......

Francophone Director Tang Shu-wing stages a contemporary French comedy full of romance and humour in French May Arts Festival. A supernatural love story performed by famous television actress Mandy Wong, veteran actors Guthrie Yip and multi-talented actor Joe Wong. Nowadays, artificial intelligence (AI) is getting more and more developed. The meaning of interaction between human and AI may be beyond our imagination.

Tang Shu-wing, MH                                                                                                                                                           Director

As a world-class director and renowned theatre educator, Tang Shu-wing was the former Dean of the School of Drama of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He has directed over 50 works and is dubbed "one of the most talented theatre directors of Hong Kong” by the media. Tang studied Theatre Studies in the Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. He was strongly influenced by physical theatre, dance as well as visual arts and used to go to India to experience spiritual formation. His works contain both tradition and contemporary features because of his multi-cultural background. Production like Titus Andronicus 2.0, Detention, Thunderstorm and The Tragedy of Macbeth, etc. are always presented in different international arts festivals. Some of his major professional awards include three times Best Director in the Hong Kong Drama Awards, l'Officier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication and Hong Kong Arts Centre's Honorary Fellowships.

 

Mandy Wong                                                                                                                                                                        Actor

Graduated from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, majored in Musical Theatre Dance and Drama.

Since her career of being an actress, she has joined the list of many popular TV series.  In 2018, she was casted as the character Evie in a legal comedy Threesome, playing a barrister with dissociative identity disorder, which earned her critical acclaim from the public, and was awarded My Favorite TVB Actress in A Leading Role in Malaysia & Singapore.

 

Joe Wong                                                                                                                                                                             Actor

Graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Wong majored in acting and was awarded a Jockey Club Scholarship for consecutive three years. He  is the radio presenter of Let the Music Speak at RTHK Radio 2, and has hosted radio programmes of Crazy and Happy and Let’s Play on Sunday.

A six-times nominee of the Hong Kong Drama Awards, Wong won Best Actor (Comedy/ Farce) for his performance in Waiting for the Match, and Best Supporting Actor for Nitehawk and Snow Queen respectively. In 2012 he received the Young Artist (Drama) award at the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2011.

 

Guthrie Yip                                                                                                                                                                           Actor

Graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, School of Drama with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree, majoring in Acting, and received an outstanding actor award in graduation production Pygmalion. Guthrie is currently a freelance actor, drama teacher, Wing Chun tutor.

Guthrie has accompanied many theatre programmes with different professional companies including Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies Xiaojing Hutong, An Enemy of the People and All My Sons (Re-run); Tang Shu Wing Theatre Studio Macbeth and Titus Andronicus 2.0. Guthrie also involved in Simon Chung’s independence film End of Love, which screened in The 59th Berlin International Film Festival.
