Would you choose to compromise, or continue to be a wild boar that pushes through shoving and bumping?

A taciturn professor who conducts research on local oral history has mysteriously disappeared.  Yuen Man-san, a seasoned journalist, is vocal about the case but gets muffled by the newspaper for which he works. Disgusted, he resigns and forms a newspaper himself.  Although he has the capable and sagacious support of his wife, Tricia, and the help of a former student, Johnny, the inchoate difficulties of starting a newspaper are intensified by the leaning from all quarters. Meanwhile, the “Perfect City” development project has surreptitiously started. Are truth and freedom the absolute value?

About the Group

The We Draman Group has been a recipient of two-year grant from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council since 2013, after starting off as a one-year grantee in 2011.  We build our group upon the belief that "People who share the same passion for theatre can bridge all their differences and create greater arts together". We strive to create an all-encompassing creative platform to enable artists and theatre practitioners from various places to work together and promote theatre art in Hong Kong. We will continue to bring to the stage high quality productions by dramatists from Hong Kong and other parts of the world that would inspire self-contemplation and argumentation, and probe into the issues of society and humanity. In doing so, we hope to instigate more cerebral activity that would be conducive to the improvement of the standards of the local theatre.  We will also do our utmost to groom a new generation of theatre professionals to ensure theatre in Hong Kong continues to develop and grow.
