The annual meet is here!
This year marks the seventh ‘Playwright Scheme’ since it was launched in 2006. The project is designed exclusively for new plays, bringing together 21 playwrights to present 21 plays that would give us ‘slices of life’, with acumen, insight and soulful sharing. Each is unique in its own way, as stories unfold on stage.
These are theatre practitioners in Chinese drama coming from the Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong, with their diverse expertise: seasoned pros in acting, the most sought-after playwrights, producers/ directors who think outside the box, or ‘crouching tigers, hidden dragons’ who are ready to pounce with latent energy and gifts.
This is a zone-within-zone, a stage-within-stage, and the one and only back garden of the theatre world.
What we need is you, to fill the audience seats. Why wait?
