The most significant moments in our memory are invariably associated with some music or song, like the background music in a cinematic setting. The lyrics that we knew by heart documented how we lived – the times, the days, how we loved, what we felt. Who is singing close to my ears now? Who knows why I am still singing those love songs even though I am not happily in love? I still don’t understand, even now, why I want to sing the same old songs over and over again. I only know the transience of Time, and even to this day, my heart is full of memories that won’t fade.
Sing-a-long was an instant hit when it premiered in 2008. Since then it has enjoyed two re-runs, and was adapted into a radio play. Now coming June, as part of the “Re-run Run Shows” Series, it will be reprised on a bigger stage with a brand new production. If you belong to the generation of the 70’s, do come and sing along with us, as we walk down memory lane together. Let’s sing tonight! Sing out loud and sing out strong! Whether you’re happy or sad, whether you’re sorry or mad, as long as you can sing, come sing with us, and let Life slip by – come what may, we’ll make by, as long as we sing. | |   | | | | | Creative Personnel and Cast | Creator and Performer: Allen Ma, Stephen Tsui, Stanley Tam Special Appearance: Kandy Wong, Andes Yue, Crystal Cheung@hotcha Playwright and Director: Allen Ma Live Music: Vince Lui Guest Accompanist: Sebastian Poon Performer: Nicky Chan, Ruby Wong, Roxy Yu, Sherrie Poon Set Designer: Yu Toi-ling Costume Designer: Christine Chan Lighting Designer: Billy Chan Video: Ziv Chun Sound Designer: Kester Lee Production Manager: Bobo Chan | |   | | | | | Programme Length | Running time is about 3 hours with a 15-minute intermission.
