Re-run Run Shows Drama Gallery - Truly I Do (Re-run) Performed in Cantonese
Theatre, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre 28-30 October 2011 (Fri-Sun) 8pm 29-30 October 2011 (Sat-Sun) 3pm Tickets: $180, 120 | | |   | | Programme Details | In a flash, Jean the new bride’s mind strays beyond the bounds of propriety at the behest of the catalytic piano music, with a vague feeling of being in love with someone else; and all of a sudden, Ho the groom, whose bride over whom someone else has fallen head over heels, begs the question of whether he can still go on loving after the hangover. A huge piano has landed onto the miniscule habitat of a newly-wed couple, interfering with everyday routines and upsetting the couple’s rhythm. Donald the piano teacher’s overflowing artistic aura keeps circling in Jean’s heart; whose bride has he actually fallen in love with? Driven by the nosy meddling of Ida the medium and the power of the supernatural, newlywed bliss turns into newlywed woes in a spin totally out of control! But Ida also has her own problems to deal with: boyfriend Yan has got into a habit of proposing - his infatuation with her attests to the truth of the adage “even the smelly offering of a pig’s head may please a god with a blocked nose”. With granddaughter in trouble, Jean’s grandmother comes to her rescue, but would the old lady’s 50-year-old sutra of love still hold? Six persons meet at love’s crossroads, with many points to make, and a lot to say, with no constraints! Love has always known only its beginnings, but as for the endings, we’ll just have to wait and see. | |   | | | | | Creative Personnel and Cast | Playwright / Director: Yu Hon-ting Set Designer: Bill Cheung Costume Designer: Aemi Cheung Sound Designer: Matthew Ma Lighting Designer: Micro Cheng Production Manager / Stage Manager: Lawrence Lee Cast: Judy Chu, Andy Tang, Gladys Liu, Rensen Chan, Brenda Chan, Matthew Cheng | |   | | | | | Programme Length | Running time is about 2 hours and 30 minutes with a 15-minute intermission Latecomers will only be admitted until the intermission or a suitable break in the programme With post-performance talk after performance on 29 October 2011 (matinee) | |   | | | | | Meet-the-Artist Session | Conducted in Cantonese
