School & Community Audience Building

General Introduction
To enhance efforts in audience-building activities, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department set up an Audience-building Office in early 2000. It aims at promoting knowledge and appreciation of the performing arts at community and school levels through the organization of various schemes and arts educational programmes in co-operation with arts groups and educational organizations.

Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme

To promote and enhance the accessibility of the performing arts in a community environment, local arts practitioners are selected to act as Community Cultural Ambassadors to conduct outreach activities. The Scheme intends to facilitate specific sectors of the community to explore and develop interests in the performing arts. Some of the activities are targeted at students.
