About the Performers

Hong Kong Chiuchow Music Ensemble

The Hong Kong Chiuchow Music Ensemble is a non-professional organization performing Chaozhou music and Chinese opera in Hong Kong. Its members are local enthusiasts in Chaozhou music, most of whom with 20 to 30 years of performing experience. These veterans are now helping to groom younger musicians either as coaches or music teachers. Apart from performing as accompanying ensemble for Chaozhou opera troupes in Hong Kong, it has also toured Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
