Piano Seven
Piano Seven, the Swiss ensemble of seven pianists and one percussionist, was established in 1987. It has performed with great success in numerous opera houses and classical halls in Switzerland, France, Belgium, Egypt, Thailand, Singapore and China.
Members of the ensemble include pianists Francois Lindemann, Olivier Rogg, Michel Bastet, Pierre-Luc Vallet, Alice Perret ,Yannick Delez and Valentin Piery, guest percussionist Levon and guest violinist Stephanie Decaillet. All of them received trainings in classical music. Francois Lindemann, founder of the Piano Seven, has performed with renown jazz artists including Daniel Humair, Steve Swallow, Robin Eubanks, etc and also made numerous recordings before the founding of Piano Seven. The ensemble performed concerts with supplementary jazz elements in three main streams of music including pop piano music, classical music and the group's original compositions. Their original compositions are influenced by jazz and classical aesthetics evoking echoes of romantic, classic and modern European composers, elements of contemporary jazz and influences of tango and circus music. |
