The Story

Break the barriers with love, awake the innocence with fun!

The Child King is not only the merrymaker in the city with indifference, but also he inextinguishable sparkle within our hearts.

Another surprising production after the Little Snowman & Sunflower II performance! After Amoebe Papa in 2008, it is a new production without any language barrier!

The Child King guides you through narrow alleys, to collect the scattered pieces of innocence and fantasy within the city.

Following the popular production, The Little Snowman & Sunflower II, Make Friends With Puppet produces another heart-warming puppet theatre work.  Diversified and unrestrained images of puppets and original newly composed music, interact with video projections in the performance, it will excite all aspects of the audience's sensation.  Let's travel between heaven and earth, along with the Child King, and recollect the forgotten dreams and innocence!

Programme Length

The programme lasts for about 85 minutes without intermission

The Arts Group

"We believe puppet is the most affective media to children in theatre."

MFWP founded in 2001, is one of the dynamic "new born" puppet theatre groups. Our Chinese explains our motto - a group of puppet lovers get together 「偶友」, we get out to the streets with puppets「街」, and stage quality works「作」 for all walks of life. In past years MFWP has produced quite a number of quality works. With puppet and musical as basis, the founder opens themselves up from traditional puppet forms, and enlightens their works with diverse theatre elements.

MFWP insists being creative and adventurous, they have been participated in "International Arts Carnival", producing both stage and touring shows. Premium in 2005, MFWP's masterpiece Ah Dull & Little Dragon II – The Magic Window was well acclaimed. In attempt to explore possible presentation of puppet, in 2008 we created Amoeba Papa, in which they tried adapting massive visual elements (puppet movement, music emotion, multimedia effects) and minimized dialogues.

Some highlights of works - Adventure in Rainbowland, Winter in Sweetyland, Little Red Riding Hood, Woolaa Jungle (Touring Version), Ah Dull & Little Dragon I (Touring Version & II (Theatre Version), The Little Fish & Sea, The Iron Scarecrow I (Touring Version) & II - The Last Leaf (Theatre Version), The Little Snowman & Sunflower (Touring Version and Theatre Version), My Secret Friend, Amoeba Papa, The Old Man and the Sea, The Lovable Scavenger, Paper Princess in Wonderland, Woolaa Jungle II (Theatre Version), etc.
