Programme Details

A piano, a selection of string instruments, flutes… And the stage is set for Listen to Love – Recitation of Poetry Classics.

Exquisitely designed and presented, Listen to Love is a stage production featuring readings and recitation by the stars of the National Theatre of China.  The lilting cadence of the voices, like the music selected to accompany each literary work, together with the elegant images bring out the timeless appeal of poetry and prose down the centuries and the poignancy of emotions embedded in words.  This is a listening experience that promises to touch your heart and soul.  The performers would read or recite as solo, duet or chorus some of the best-known classics in poetry and prose in world literature, against the lilting notes of the instruments a at the back…

Details of Performing Group

National Theatre of China

The National Theatre of China is the state performing arts organization which was founded in 2001 combining former China National Youth Theatre and China National Experimental Theatre.

With a number of talents in performing arts, the Theatre offers a platform where tradition meets modernity and state-of-the-art performance is pursued to nurture theatrical masterpieces.  It is entitled to present both Chinese and foreign dramas of excellence by exploring both classical and experimental forms of theatrical arts.

The Theatre explores new forms and areas of performing arts, and endeavors to offer an open stage where more theatrical talents with new and excellent productions will emerge.
