| Details of Performing Group |
The Youjiang National Song and Dance Troupe of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Founded in 1959, the cast and crew of the Song and Dance Troupe comprise professional artists of the ethnic Zhuang, Miao, Yao, Yi and Hui groups. In its history of almost fifty years, the Troupe has been assiduously following one artistic direction, and that is to develop ethnic arts. For this, it has groomed many folk dancers and artistic talents and built a repertory that is distinguished by sophistication and vernacular charm. The Troupe currently has more than ninety members, amongst whom close to twenty are National Class One and Class Two Choreographer/Directors and Performers.
